VN-Index hits three-month high

Hanoi (VNA) -- Investor optimism in the local market helped the VN-Index hit 347.07 points on April 14 , up 7.06 points or 2.07 percent against the previous session.

The trading volume hit a record of 47.95 million shares on a turnover of nearly 1.26
trillion VND (70 million USD). Advancers outnumbered decliners by 118 to 33, while
30 others remained steady.

Sacombank led the market with nearly 10 million shares changing hands, accounting
for 19.06 percent of the total volume on the market, closing 4.83 percent up at
21,700 VND.

Foreign investors bought about 3.6 million shares for 131.3 billion VND (7.2 million
USD) and sold 4.1 million ones for 138.9 billion VND (7.7 million USD) on April 14
on the HCM City bourse.

In Hanoi , the HASTC-Index advanced over 3.59 percent of 4.54 points to end the
day at 130.94, on a trading volume of 28.6 million shares and a combined value of
nearly 782 billion VND (43.4 million USD).

Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) led the northern exchange with 7.88 million shares
traded, followed by Kim Long Securities (KLS) with nearly 3.63 million.-Enditem
