ATUC CHAIRMAN MEETS DIRECTOR OF ILO SUBREGIONAL OFFICE IN MOSCOW FOR EASTERN EUROPE AND CENTRAL ASIA
Baku, April 15 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mehbaliyev met with Ms. Martina Lubyova, new director of International Labour Organization`s (ILO) Subregional Office in Moscow for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
The talks focused on prospects for relations between ILO and Azerbaijan.
Mehbaliyev briefed Lubyova on the ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan, results of the joint reforms carried out in the country and other issues.
According to him, ATUC plays important role in protection of labor rights and solution of social problems of workers.
He noted ensuring worthy labor is one of the aims of his country`s social and economic policy.
Martina Lubyova, in turn, praised the work done to develop relations between ATUC and ILO.
