AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES CEO AND DIRECTOR GENERAL OF SWISS HOLCIM COMPANY MARKUS AKERMANN
Baku, April 14 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has received CEO and Director General of Swiss Holcim cement company Markus Akermann.
The President said despite the world`s financial crisis, economic development processes are rapidly continuing in Azerbaijan. He said consistent measures are underway to create new jobs and strengthen the environmental protection.
President Ilham Aliyev pointed out that there are favorable conditions in Azerbaijan for foreign countries and also for attracting investments.
He stressed the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Holcim, expressing confidence it would contribute to enhancing the Azerbaijan-Switzerland economic relations.
Markus Akermann said he is satisfied with Holcim`s work in Azerbaijan, adding his company operates in more than 70 countries worldwide.
He said Holcim wants to support Azerbaijan`s rapid development through introducing high technologies, investing to strengthening the environmental protection and manufacturing high-quality products.
Markus Akermann pointed out there is a favorable investment climate in Azerbaijan, and expressed hope Holcim would continue successfully working in the country.
