Iran welcomes other states partnership to build new power plants

Iran welcomes partnership of other countries in construction of new
power plants in Iran, it was announced on Tuesday.

The announcement was made by Kazem Gharibabadi, Foreign Minsitry
advisor in charge of nuclear affairs.

On putting into operation of Bushehr nuclear power plant, he said the
plant will become fully operational in the next few months.

Bushehr nuclear power plant started test operations in late February 2009.

Meanwhile, he told IRNA that with commissioning Bushehr power plant,
1,000 mgw electricity will be generated soon in the country for the
first time.

The official further announced that a 360-mgw nuclear power plant is
also under construction by the Iranian experts and scientists.
