Rangers conduct study on wildlife of the western region

Zavkhan /MONTSAME/. Over 2,600 photos have been captured as a result of a study conducted with automated cameras by the Otgontenger State Special Protected Area. About 50 automated cameras are regularly used in order to collect detailed information on the locations of wild animals and their numbers.
The study involved taking 1,700 daytime photos, and 600 nighttime photos of 70 types of wild animals, such as red deer, lynx, Altai snowcock, and chukar partridge in Lake Nart of Otgontenger State Special Protected Area, Mount Berkh of Ulaagchin Khar Lake Bioreserve, and Alag Khad and Mount Maikhan of Tarvagatai Mountains National Park.
The rangers reported that how certain animals separated from their group, and their personality can be seen from the photography alongside those in which they are together with their offspring.
