Jalili, Solana discuss G5+1 statement over phone

EU Foreign Policy chief Javier Solana discussed the recent statement
issued by group 5+1 with the Secretary of the Supreme National
Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili over phone on Monday.

During talks, Solana referred to the latest international developments
and called for resumption of talks with Iran on drawing up new round
of cooperation between the two sides.

Jalili, for his part welcomed continuation of constructive cooperation
between Iran and group 5+1.

It is incumbent to have a correct understanding about existing
realities as well as developments at international level,Jalili said,
adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is to officially respond to
the statement issued by Group 5+1.

Members of the group 5+1 namely the US, Britain, France, Germany,
Russia and China issued a statement last week to call for resumption
of talks with Iran.
