Vietnam, Laos strengthen cooperation in publication

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam's National Politics Publishing House and the Lao State
Publishing and Book Distribution House on April 8 signed a minutes to strengthen
bilateral ties.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese publishing house will assist its Lao counterpart in
personnel training and infrastructure upgrading. It will also send technical
workers to help Laos ' printing factory and equip it with new printers.

The two sides will co-ordinate in publishing a book on late President Kaysone
Phomvihan and another on Laos ' ideological, political and cultural missions.


The Lao side appreciated the assistance of the Vietnam publishing house in
printing its publications and documents, including a book named "Ho Chi Minh's
poems" which has been translated into Lao language.

During the eight-day stay in Laos, the Vietnam publishing house delegation was
received by the Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's
Propaganda and Education Commission Phanhdouangchith Vongsa, and Lao Minister of
Information and Culture, Mounkeo Oraboun.-Enditem
