Foreign Minister, His Azerbaijani Counterpart Discuss Ways To Strengthen Bilateral Relations In All Fields

BAGHDAD / NINA /- Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali al-Hakim met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields. The two sides discussed strengthening economic, trade and technological relations, developing tourism and organizing the religious visit in coordination with the Iraqi embassy in Baku. They agreed to activate the joint committee between the two countries. Al-Hakim stressed the importance of developing bilateral cooperation in various fields, expressing Baghdad's aspiration to exchange high-level visits, coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest. The two ministers also discussed the developments in the Middle East and Iraq’s vision towards them, calling on all parties to adopt the political track in the solution./ End
