AZERBAIJANI FM MEETS NATO ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL
Baku, 10 April (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met here with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Jean-Francois Bureau.
Jean-Francois Bureau, who is in Azerbaijan to attend a conference marking NATO`s 60th anniversary, praised the current level of the Azerbaijan-NATO relations and cooperation under Individual Partnership Action Plan. The NATO top official expressed assurance the relations between the country and the organization will further develop.
Elmar Mammadyarov said “the Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation is being successfully developed”, stressing the role of the Individual Partnership Action Plan in this regard.
Mammadyarov said holding the international conference “NATO – Alliance of Full Political Maturity” in Baku will make a great contribution to the NATO-Azerbaijan cooperation.
He also praised NATO`s recent declaration supporting territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
The meeting also discussed bilateral and regional issues.
