US Senator praises Vietnam's potential for investment
Washington (VNA) - Vietnam has much potential for investment and business, especially for increased US exports, said Senator Amy Klobuchar, a member of the US congressional delegation visiting Vietnam .
Klobuchar said her group, including Republican Senators John McCain of Arizona
and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina , would like to break down any barriers to
US exports to Vietnam .
She said there already has been a "huge increase" in exports to Vietnam ,
particularly poultry and beef.
The senator said she was impressed with dynamic Hanoi with a "bunch of motor
bikes" and "a sense of entrepreneurship" that she found very surprising.
On that note, she added that getting in on all the burgeoning business action
would be "very important for Minnesota ."
Speaking to the US press, the only senator of Minnesota said she just finished
meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister and pushed for re-opening the adoption
process between Vietnam and the US .
According to the Democratic senator, the two countries wanted to normalise the
adoption process but "it won't be able to do it overnight."-Enditem
