UK Minister for Asia and the Pacific Heather Wheeler to visit Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Heather Wheeler, Minister of Asia and the Pacific at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is to pay an official visit to Mongolia between October 1 and 4. Ms. Wheeler will hold meetings with Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Yo.Baatarbileg, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry D.Sumiyabazar, Deputy Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg and Deputy Finance Minister Kh.Bulgantuya. Discussions will be broad-ranging and will cover trade and investment, democracy and media freedom, climate change, the Illegal wildlife trade and geo-strategic issues. Ms. Wheeler will also attend preliminary opening ceremony of new office of the Embassy of the UK in Mongolia at Shangri-La Office Tower on September 2. Then the UK Minister will visit Oyu Tolgoi mine.
