China’s Terracotta Warriors Exhibition Draws Huge Crowd on the 1st Day
BANGKOK, Sept 16 (TNA) – More than 1,000 visitors flocked to see the China’s Terracotta Warriors exhibition at the national museum in Bangkok in only three hours after its opening to public members today.
Over 2,000 –year-old Terracotta Warriors or funerary sculptures, depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor of China have been put on display for the first time in Thailand at the Siwamokkhaphiman Throne Hall in the national museum premises.
The exhibition showcases 133 artifacts from museums around Shaanxi province and will run until December 15 from 9am.-4pm. Wednesday to Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except Sept 16, 17.
The entrance fee is 30 baht for Thai nationals and 200 baht for foreigners. It is expected that there will be 200,000 visitors during the three-month period.
Taking photos by mobile phones and small cameras is allowed without using flash or taking selfie. (TNA)
