Qashqavi: Iran's space program independent from that of North Korea
Tehran, April 7, IRNA
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi said on Monday that the
space programs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and North Korea are
completely independent.
Speaking at his weekly press briefing, he said North Korea for years
been involved in launching missiles and there is no link between the
two countries on such project.
It is among Iran's legitimate right to use space technology for
peaceful purposes based on international rules and regulations and the
country maintains that other countries around the world also have the
same rights, he reiterated.
No one can consider Iran's space programs as a threat, he said adding
that all countries in the east of Asia only think about peace,
stability and development.
All differences and disputes in the region should be resolved through
mutual interactions to help promote peace, stability and bring about
economic development for all, he said.
Arab countries believe that Iran poses no threat on them, he underlined.
