Thai journalists visit southern Ben Tre province
Ben Tre (VNA) - A delegation of the Press Association of Thailand, led by its Chairwoman Nattaya Chetchotiros, visited the southern province of Ben Tre on April 6.
Local authorities briefed the guests on Ben Tre's socio-economic situation and
potential, as well as its investment incentives given to foreign investors.
According to the officials, Thailand is now the largest foreign investor in Ben
Tre province, where Thai businesses, including the CP Group and the Alliance One,
have invested in a number of production projects.
Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Hieu said he hoped
that Thai press would work as a bridge to introduce the province's potentials to
regional countries and urge Thai companies to increase the flow of investment in Ben
Tre.
During its trip, which formed part of the Vietnam visit made at the invitation
of the Vietnam Journalists' Association, the delegation called at the Dong Khoi
newspaper office, the provincial Television and Radio Station and a number of
historical relic sites.-Enditem
