EU SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE FOR SOUTH CAUCASUS BRIEFS JOURNALISTS IN BAKU

Baku, April 6 (AzerTAc). EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby held Monday a news conference on the outcomes of his visit to Azerbaijan.
Semneby said his current visit aims to discuss prospects for relationship between Azerbaijan and the European Union, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Eastern Partnership initiative, the Nabucco project and other issues.
According to Semneby, the Eastern Partnership initiative will make a significant contribution to boosting relations between EU and its partners, as well as solving energy security issues and conflicts.
The diplomat praised Azerbaijan`s role in the Eastern Partnership initiative and energy security.
He also added “the EU is keen on cooperation with Azerbaijan.”
