Govt Reiterates on Strengthening Grassroots Economy

BANGKOK, Aug 17 (TNA) - The government has reiterated on strengthening grass root people and will leave no one behind. According to a government spokeswoman, Narumon Pinyosinwat, the government would stimulate the Thai economy as soon as possible, especially on domestic consumption, increasing money to various sectors. Gen. Prayut, also defence minister, has focused on developing Thailand which would leave no one behind by taking care of people at the grassroots level, comprising about 40 per cent of the total population so that they enjoy better livelihood, she said. Also, the government would boost national competitiveness, for example, promoting investment through the public private partnership in large infrastructure projects, which would result in increasing domestic employment, boosting investment and tourism. Finally, the government would not neglect poverty problem in the 2020 government budget, starting his October 1, with an aim to raise living standard of the poor. (TNA)
