Rudd meets with Singapore PM

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has met with his Singaporean counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong, during a brief stopover in Singapore on his way home from London.

The leaders discussed the G20 summit which Mr Rudd had just attended.
The Australian prime minister told Mr Lee the outcome was better than expected, with
real, substantive reform.
He has said the deal struck at the summit will rein in the financial market
"cowboys" who have wreaked havoc on the world economy.
While in Singapore, Mr Rudd also met with the island nation's senior minister and
former prime minister Goh Chok Tong.
The meetings come at the end of a two-week overseas trip, during which Mr Rudd met
US President Barack Obama in Washington before attending the G20 summit in London.
The prime minister also held discussions with Chinese President Hu Jintao in London
before flying to Singapore.
Mr Rudd is due back in Melbourne on Saturday night.
