EXPANDING VOLGA-DON CANAL IS ON BAKU MEETING`S AGENDA, RUSSIAN TRANSPORT MINISTER

Baku, 3 April (AzerTAc). Expanding the Volga-Don Canal will be discussed during the meeting of the Caspian littoral states` transport ministers, said Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin.
“We will explore ways of expanding inner water routes to get access to Black and then to Mediterranean seas”
Levitin said “we plan to realize this through expanding the Volga-Don Canal, and the new route will link the Caspian with Black sea”
