MNCCI Chairman meets Eurasian Economic Commission delegates

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. On May 21, O.Amartuvshin, Chairman of the MNCCI and B.Saruul, Secretary-General of the MNCCI, received a delegation led by Mr. S.S.Shukhno, Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission’s (EEC) Department of Integration Development. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Shukhno briefed about functions of the EEC, and then invited the MNCCI Chairman to take part in business forums to be held September in Astana and October in Moscow, with a Mongolian business delegation. The parties considered as necessity to permanently organize business meetings, seminars and forums with an aim to foster the trade and economic cooperation. The EEC launched its operations in 2012 and it became the principle organ of the Eurasian Economic Union, upon entry into force of the Treaty on the European Economic Union in 2015. As of today, the EEC has joined Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. Mongolia started relationship with the EEU by establishing a cooperation memorandum in 2015.
