Construction of sports facilities for the Children of Asia-2020 Games running at 50 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President Kh.Battulga today got acquainted with construction progress of the sports facilities for the Children of Asia-2020 International Sports Games. Mongolia has been selected as the next host of Children of Asia International Sports Games. Within it, sports facilities for the Children of Asia 2020 Games are being built on the opposite of Buyant Ukhaa Sports Palace in Khan-Uul district. During his attendance in the foundation-laying ceremony of the Winter Sports Palace which took place last month, President Kh.Battulga informed that construction of swimming pool and football pitch to be commenced soon. Construction work of the sports facilities is running with fulfillment of 50 percent today, said a representative of Ulaanbaatar Barilga Company, responsible for the construction work. Specifically, preparation work for creating 115mx85m sized football field in the sports facility has been completed. Moreover, concrete foundation of the Winter Sports Palace started to be poured. “The construction of the sports facility will be commissioned in 16 months,” said the representative of the contract company. Currently, construction of athletes village where some 4000 athletes will stay, has been completed and its exterior and interior works are remained. While, pouring of the concrete foundation of water sports complex with 50 m swimming pool has been completed.
