DPM thanks all parties for successful Royal Coronation of new Thai King

BANGKOK, May 7 (TNA) - Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan has extended his thankfulness for all parties involving in the success in organizing the recent Royal Coronation ceremonies and related activities of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, or King Rama X. Defence Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Kongcheep Tantrawanit told journalists on Tuesday that Deputy Premier General Prawit, who oversees national security, expressed his appreciation to the sound cooperation of all the concerned parties while chairing a meeting of a joint command panel tasked with preparing and organizing the recent Royal Coronation ceremonies and related activities of the new Thai monarch, held at the Ministry of Defence in Bangkok earlier in the day. "The deputy prime minister thanked all parties that have worked together around the clock since April 18 to prepare and organize the gracious Royal Coronation ceremonies and related activities of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn successfully, including government and state agencies, volunteers and the civil society", the spokesman said. The spokesman elaborated that the Thai deputy premier praised all those involving in preparing and handling royal and public security services, facilitating traffic and public transport systems and providing medical, public health and telecommunication services during the Royal Coronation ceremonies from May 4-6 and related activities.
