First International conference of young Mongolists to be held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on May 1, National Council for Mongolian Studies at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports reviewed last year’s report and approved the 2019 Action Plan. In order to promote Mongolian studies, it was decided to intensify operations of centers of Mongolian Studies abroad. It is also planned to organize three academic conferences. With aims to prepare next generation Mongolists and attract young researchers, the first International Conference of Young Mongolists will be organized this year. One of the projects on strengthening Mongolian studies includes the support for the International Association for Mongol Studies. The decision was made as the organization is financed by membership fees without any other funding. It is also planned to organize summer schools to motivate undergraduate students in the field of Mongolian studies and introduce Mongolian culture.
