Broncos bulldoze Warriors 26-10

Brisbane jumped to the top of the NRL ladder and maintained their perfect start to the season with a convincing 26-10 victory over the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland.

The Broncos ran in five tries to two in front of 24,350 fans to upset the Warriors,
who had been unbeaten in their last seven games at home and hadn't lost to the
Queenslanders in Auckland since 2006.
Compounding the loss for the Warriors was a season-ending injury to star centre
Brent Tate, who suffered a suspected torn anterior crucial ligament in the 25th
minute.
The Broncos become the only NRL side to win three from three this season.
Everything went the their way from the outset, with halfback Peter Wallace
engineering the first try for prop Joel Clinton in the 12th minute, and then quickly
setting up another with a cut out pass to centre Steve Michaels.
Brisbane dominated possession and field position while the Warriors were repeatedly
hurt by silly mistakes.
Hulking centre Israel Folau touched down late in the first half to give the Broncos
a 16-0 lead at the break.
They continued their power drive in the second half, with utility Alex Glenn finding
big gaps in the shellshocked Warriors defence to touch down four minutes in, and
Darren Lockyer scoring another soon after.
The Warriors found some rhythm late, with second rower Simon Mannering finally
getting his side on the board just over an hour in, and young forward Ukuma Ta'ai
scoring another try ten minutes from time, but it was too little too late.
Brisbane were without suspended centre Justin Hodges, while the Warriors were
missing man mountain Manu Vatuvei, who succumbed to a knee injury.
