MALAYSIAN COMPANY INVESTS RM1.2 MLN IN BRUNEI VENTURE

KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 (Bernama) -- Kamdar Group (M) Bhd is expanding to
Brunei with an investment of RM1.2 million in a joint venture with PG Salleh AB
Rahaman P.H. Damit.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Monday, the textile retailer said a joint
venture company, Kamdar (BRU) Sdn Bhd (KBSB), would be set up.

"Wholly-owned subsidiary, Kamdar (B) Sdn Bhd, will hold 70 percent stake in
KBSB while PG Salleh will hold 30 percent," it said.

Kamdar said the investment would be sourced from internally-generated funds
and was expected to commence operations end-March 2009.

It said the joint venture would synergise the strengths of Kamdar's
marketing expertise and business knowledge in textile and PG Salleh's skill and
knowledge in Brunei's environment, dealing with the regulatory authorities in
obtaining permits.

"This is a good opportunity for Kamdar to venture overseas," he said.
