Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Nigeria

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- A Nigerian preparatory committee for celebrating Chairman Kim Jong Il's birth anniversary (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Abuja on Jan. 17. Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected as chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to give wide publicity to Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits and hold diverse political and cultural events such as celebration meeting and film show to mark his 77th birth anniversary. -0-
