PM approves Sa`ada Reconstruction Fund`s 2009 budget
SANA'A, March, 23 (Saba)- Sa'ada Reconstruction Fund's Board approved in Monday's
meeting the plan of the fund's budget for the fiscal year 2009 estimated at YR 10, 7
billion.
The action plan aims at reconstructing 5000 thousand house and 900 farms besides
reconstructing and qualifying 200 public institutions.
The meeting, which was chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, who is also the fund's
Chairman of the Board, affirmed on giving priority to reconstructing the houses
affected by the war launched against rebellion in Sa'ada governorate.
The council approved results of the survey conducted by the fund to damages in the
two districts of Harf Sufian, in Amran and Bani Husheish in Sana'a. The survey
reported that 1120 facilities, houses and farms have been damaged in the two
districts. The damages are estimated at YR 1,8 billion.
The council approved the fund's final account for fiscal year 2008. It reviewed
report of executive department over what have been achieved in reconstruction
program in 2008.
The report clarified that 24 educational and water projects have been maintained. It
indicated that the current construction work include reconstructing 884 houses in
districts of Assafra'a, Sahar, Qutaber and Razeh.
The council agreed on the mechanism presented by the fund's general manager over
choosing teams of field counting and revising as well as engineers of the
supervising units for speeding up measures concerning efforts of reconstruction.
