SIO completes procedures of transitioning VRS first batch

Manama. Jan. 3 (BNA): The Social Insurance Organization (SIO) has completed all procedures related to transitioning the first batch of the Voluntary Retirement Scheme’s (VRS) successful candidates to retirement, in coordination with other government entities and in accordance to the scheme’s timeline.  To expedite the process of transitioning successful candidates to retirement, SIO has introduced an electronic system for government human resource directorates to electronically process the end of services forms as well as uploading successful candidates’ information. The electronic system is also provided to facilitate the calculation of successful candidates’ end of service package and their retirement pension. The first batch of successful candidates are expected to sign their end of service forms between the dates of Jan. 6th to Jan. 10th to process their papers and transition them to retirement on Jan. 31st, 2019. The SIO will conduct two briefing sessions on Sunday, Jan. 6th and Monday, Jan. 7th to brief all government human resource directorates on the new electronic system, at the SIO.
