Yemen, WTC discuss cooperation in fisheries wealth

SANA'A, March 22 (Saba)- Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammed
Shamlan held talks on Sunday with deputy chairman of the World Trade
Center (WTC) over aspects of the cooperation between Yemen and the
center in field of marketing Yemeni fishing exports abroad.

The minister also reviewed reforms taken place in the ministry
recently in domain of improving the management of fishing ports such
as issuance of the bylaws of organizing process of selling and
purchasing of fishes.

Shamlan affirmed concern of Yemen to benefit from comments presented
by the center over organizing centers of fisheries landing and
implementation of the quality standards, saying that the ministry
would work to link the centers with modern database to follow up
processes of fishing and landing.

For his part, the WTC official voiced readiness of the center to
offer all kinds of support for Yemen's efforts to improve fisheries
trade, affirming importance of developing quality of fisheries
exports in cooperation with the private sector.
