Interior Ministry, IOM discuss cooperation ties
SANA'A, March 22 (Saba) - Deputy Interior Minister Saleh al-Zau'ari
discussed here on Sunday with representative of International
Organization for Migration (IOM) Stefano Namgnini the cooperation
and coordination mechanisms between the Ministry and IOM.
During the meeting, the IOM official hailed the existing cooperation
between the Ministry and the Organization, noting to the importance
of the cooperation results in the past two years since the
inauguration of IOM Bureau in Yemen.
He also reviewed a training program on combating illegal migration
for the workers at air, land, and marine ports, adding that the
initial cost of the program is YR 500 million.
For his part, al-Zau'ari praised the organization's efforts and its
proposed training projects, affirming the Ministry's keenness on
activating these efforts and overcoming any obstacles facing the
organization efforts.
