Al-Samawi reviews impacts of global financial crisis on Yemen

HODEDIAH, March 21 (Saba)-Governor of Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed
al-Samawi reviewed on Saturday impacts of the global financial
crisis on the Yemeni economy and its relations with global economy.

In a lecture at Hodeidah University, al-Samawi also received banking
development in the country until end of 2008 and reasons behind of
this crisis and its impacts on Arab and international levels.

He said that banking reforms and foreign investments helped in
rescuing the country from this crisis, pointing out to some of these
reforms such as issuance several laws of organizing backing services.

The governor said that the central bank would put some solutions to
achieve financial stability.
