iGA marks national days

Manama, Dec. 18 (BNA): The Information and e-Government Authority (iGA) has held a ceremony marking the Kingdom of Bahrain's national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th Anniversary of His Majesty's Accession to the Throne. iGA’s Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed, directors, and employees of various branches and their families attended the event. On the occasion, Al-Qaed extended, on behalf of all iGA’s affiliates, sincerest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, as well as the Bahraini people, wishing the kingdom many happy returns of the occasion, under HM the King’s leadership. Al-Qaed praised the government’s direct support for the information and communication technology (ICT) and the e-government sector, which, he said, has reflected positively on its ability to deliver the best quality services to the citizens and residents, as well as to attracting investments and pushing the economic development forward. iGA employees expressed their joy at attending the celebration, stressing that great national occasion is an opportunity to highlight the importance of exerting more efforts to serve the kingdom and preserve its distinguished international status. The festivity feature a lineup of activities for the employees and their families.
