Bahrain's Capital Governorate celebrates National Day

Manama, (BNA): The Capital Governorate held a ceremony as part of festivities marking the Kingdom of Bahrain's national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne.
The celebration which was held at Um Al-Hasam, was attended by dignitaries and invitees. The Um Al-Hasam Folklore ban took part in the ceremony which featured also an Ardha show, a productive families’ market and other events.
Capital Governorate’s Information and Follow-up director Salah Bouzid Al-Dosari stressed the importance of the event which promotes community partnership and fosters the spirit of patriotism and cements national unity, hailing the efforts of the organisers of the annual event. Dar Um Al-Hasam Fund Chairman Khalil Al-Binkhalil delivered a speech on behalf of citizens, stressing keenness on taking part in the festivities marking the national days which reflect the spirit of belonging and allegiance to His Majesty the King and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
