Interior Ministry marks Bahrain Women’s Day

Manama, (BNA): Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa honoured a number of women officers, policewomen and civilian employees to mark the Bahrain Women’s Day. The ceremony was attended by the Director-General of Policies and Development at the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Shaikha Deena bint Rashid Al-Khalifa. The Undersecretary said the directives of the Minister of Interior to support women and improve their efficiency had contributed to their promotion to high posts in the ministry. Director-General of Women Police Brigadier Mona Abdulraheem said that the theme of this year celebration to mark the day was devoted to honouring women in the legislative field and municipal work, reflecting the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and SCW President to empower women.
