Suicide Bomber Targets S. Korean Delegation, No Injuries
SANA'A, March 18 (Saba) – A suicide bomber attacked S. Korean
invistigators who arrived in Sana'a on Wednesday to take part in
investigations into Monday's attack that killed four South Korean
tourists along with a Yemeni guide and injured six others in eastern
Yemen.
Eyewitnesses as saying the suicide bomber was waiting for the
procession on a road leading to Sana'a International Airport and as
the procession emerged he exploded himself in front of the cars.
None was hurt but cars which were carrying S. Korean officials were
slightly damaged.
All passages leading to the airport have been closed as troops
cordoned off the scene. Al-Qaeda has been blamed for Monday's attack
which occurred when South Korean tourists were photographing the
sunset at a mountain in Shebam, a historic site in the eastern
province of Hadramout.
Police found the ID card of the suicide bomber who carried out the
attack and said he was an Al-Qaeda operative.
