AZERBAIJAN`S REFERENDUM APPLAUDED AS EXEMPLARY
Baku, March 18 (AzerTAc). With its achievements in conducting referendum and elections Azerbaijan can serve an example for many countries, head of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly`s election observation mission, Deputy Chairperson of Russia`s Federation Council Svetlana Orlova told journalists here.
Orlova, who had visited 5 polling stations across the capital, Baku, since early hours of Wednesday, said “I have good impressions of what I have observed, and there are no irregularities.”
“Generally, this is my fourth visit to Azerbaijan in the capacity of an election monitor. I believe this referendum will be a historical event for Azerbaijan, as many amendments and supplements proposed by it are of social character.” Orlova said.
