BRUSSELS HOSTS CONFERENCE ON "CIVIL SOCIETY DIALOGUE IN THE BLACK SEA REGION AND THE EASTERN PARTNERSHIP COUNTRIES"

Baku, March 18 (AzerTAc). The International Labour Organization (ILO) together with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) organized a conference on “Civil Society Dialogue in the Black Sea Region and the Eastern Partnership Countries” in Brussels, Belgium. Bringing together about 100 representatives of entrepreneurial, non-governmental organizations, research and regional professional structures from Eastern countries, the conference provided an opportunity to exchange views on civil society contribution to the Eastern Partnership and the Black Sea Synergy initiatives.
Alakbar Mammadov, head of the Azerbaijan National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (ANCE) delivered a report on the “Role of Entrepreneurial Organizations in Development of Social Dialogue in Azerbaijan”. ANCE president briefed the participants on the problems the organizations face and achievements in the field of strengthening of the social dialogue in the country.
He also updated the participants on the ANCE activity, its productive relations with other government structures, as well as role of the International Labour Organization in strengthening of the social dialogue in Azerbaijan, influence of the global financial crisis to the social dialogue and other issues.
