AZERBAIJAN IS CLOSE PARTNER OF RUSSIA, PRESIDENT MEDVEDEV
Moscow, 18 March (AzerTAc). Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov introduced newly appointed ambassador of his country to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin to President Dmitry Medvedev.
The Russian leader pointed out the two countries have historically good relations. The President stressed that Azerbaijan is close partner of Russia. He also expressed assurance the new ambassador will do his best to contribute to strengthening the two countries` overall cooperation.
The new ambassador will succeed Vasili Istratov.
