Information minister appointed government's spokesman
SANA'A, March 17 (Saba)- The cabinet approved appointing information
minister as spokesman for the government and authorized him to
prepare the by- law required for this purpose.
The cabinet discussed in its meeting held on Tuesday the project of
document of the executive measures of the government's future duties
and plans for implementing president's program for the period
2009-2010.
The project included executive measures aiming at continuous
improvement of the government management and raising quality and
efficiency of their apparatus as well as improving investment
policy, supervising implementing them and settling any obstacle
faces these plans.
The government approved the international funding treaty signed by
the government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
According to the treaty, the IFC grants water sector project nearly
$ 57 million.
The cabinet referred the treaty to the parliament for completing
legal measures needed for final approval.
The project aims at boosting water institutions in managing water
resources and improving social management of these resources as well
as increasing and easing people access to water services.
