MISGS clinches ISO 9001:2000 Certification
Riyadh, March 17, SPA -- Maj. Gen. Abdullah Meshabeb Al Shahrani
Commander of the Military Institute for Survey and Geographical
Studies (MISGS) received here today 2000: 9001 ISO certificate from
Canadian Technical Committee empowered to award such a certificate.
The Institute has received such a certificate in the international
recognition of its application of professional standards of quality
and exemplary in the field of education, training and administrative
and other procedures.
ISO 9001: 2000 endorses the requirements for quality management
systems. It is now firmly established as the globally implemented
standard for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality
requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in
supplier-customer relationships.
The commander of the MISGS pointed out that the goal of the
Institute of the certificate is the application of quality systems at
the Institute for upgrading education and training services,
development of leadership and administrative skills, development of
experience and knowledge of teachers and trainers, graduation of
trainees at scientific graduate-level, maximum utilization of
material and human resources available, provision of standards tools
to measure performance, collection and evaluation of services and
reduction in cost while achieving the educational objectives and
training and maintenance objectives.
