International Conference on E-learning and Distance-learning Opens

Riyadh, March 17, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Dr Khalid Al Anqari,
Minister of Higher Education opened here last night activities of the
First International Conference on "E-Learning and Distance-Learning."

It is organized by Ministry of Higher Education represented by the
National Centre for E-Learning and Distance-Learning at Prince Sultan
Bin Abdulaziz Hall, Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.

Objectives of the conference include exploring aspects of E-Learning
and Distance- learning including their cultural and ethical
dimensions; their prospects in the era of globalization and
knowledge-based economy and their applications and experiences.
These are also comprised of establishing E-Learning and
Distance-Learning industry in the higher education institutions;
providing opportunities for exchanging experiences and best practices
between professionals and subject matter experts in E-Learning and
Distance Learning.
