M'SIAN PM ARRIVES FOR ANNUAL CONSULTATION WITH SUSILO

JAKARTA, March 17 (Bernama) -- Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived here
Monday evening for the Annual Consultation with Indonesian President Susilo
Bambang Yudhoyono scheduled to take place at the Presidential Palace, here
Tuesday.
The Malaysian Prime Minister accompanied by wife Jeanne
Abdullah was welcomed by Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Zainal
Abidin Mohamed Zain and other dignitaries on arrival at the Halim Perdanakusumah
Airport here.
Also in the Prime Minister's delegation were Sarawak Chief Minister
Abdul Taib Mahmud, Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman, Foreign Minister
Dr Rais Yatim, Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister
Peter Chin Fah Kui, Information Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek and Human
Resource Minister Dr S. Subramaniam.
During the two-day official visit, Abdullah has a tight schedule as
apart from the Annual Consultation with Susilo and giving a joint press
conference,
both leaders were later scheduled to receive the first report by the Eminent
Persons Groups of both Malaysia and Indonesia.
Both the Prime Minister and the President would then deliver remarks at the
opening ceremony of "Membangkitkan Memori Kolektif Sejarah Antara Bangsa" (To
Revive the Collective Memory among races history) seminar, one of the first
programmes proposed by the EPG.
Abdullah is also attending a luncheon in his honour hosted by the Indonesian
President at the State Palace.
After the luncheon, the Prime Minister was scheduled to receive separate
courtesy calls by the Head of Nahdatul Ulama of Indonesia Dr Ahmad Hasyim Muzadi
and the Secretary-General of the Development Eight (D-8) Dr Dipo Alam.
Before leaving for home in the evening, Abdullah will give a press
conference to the Malaysian press.
