MALAYSIAN PM ARRIVES IN BRUNEI

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 16 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived here Sunday night for a two-day working visit to
formalise a solution to the Malaysia-Brunei boundary issues.

Abdullah, accompanied by wife Jeanne Abdullah, was received
on arrival by Brunei Education Minister Pehin Abdul Rahman Dato Setia Mohamed
Taib who acts as the Minister-in-Attendance at the Brunei International Airport.

Also present were Malaysian Foreign Minister Dr Rais Yatim and
wife Masnah Rais and Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Ku
Jaafar Ku Shaari.

On Monday, Abdullah will have a four-eye meeting with Sultan of Brunei
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and thereafter sign Letters of Exchange to mark an end
to the territorial dispute between the two countries.

Both leaders are also expected to discuss issues of common interest to
strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation in various sectors.

Others in Malaysian delegation include Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul
Taib Mahmud, Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman, Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail
and Foreign Ministry Secretary-General Rastam Isa.
