AZERI WOMEN CHESS PLAYERS DEFEAT RIVALS IN EUROPEAN CHAMP

Baku, 14 March (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani women chess players Narmin Kazimova, Gulnar Mammadova and Nargiz Umudova defeated Russians Yekaterina Karashuta, Olga Zimina and Alyona Alekseyeva respectively in the fifth round of the European championship in Saint Petersburg.
Other Azeri chess players Turkan Mammadyarova and Khayala Abdulla drew with Izabella Peptan (Romania) and Yekaterina Akatova (Russia) respectively.
