Al-Arhabi to hand over letter from President Saleh to UAE
SANA'A, March 12 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi is to hand over next Tuesday a
letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the President Khalifa
bin Zayed Al Nahyan of United Arab Emirates.
Well-informed sources were quoted on Thursday by the weekly 26
September as saying that al-Arhabi will pay a visit on Tuesday to
Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE, for this purpose.
The letter deals with the underway arrangements for the coming Arab
summit of Doha to be held late in the current March and the latest
regional and international developments of common interests as well
as the bilateral relations between Yemen and UAE.
During the visit, al-Arhabi will hold talks with a number of UAE
officials on developments and economic cooperation between both
countries.
Worth mentioning, UAE has pledged in the London Donor Conference to
grant Yemen about $ 500 million to support development projects in
the country as well as UAE has donated Yemen about 500.000 tons of
wheat to alleviate the Global Financial Crisis consequences.
