Insurance company finance eye surgeries for 500 poor patients
HCM City (VNA) - The life insurance company Dai-ichi Life Vietnam will finance a programme on free cataract surgeries for 500 poor patients in Ho Chi Minh City and some other provinces and cities.
The humanitarian programme "Bringing light to poor blind people" is being jointly
implemented by Dai-ichi Life and the HCM City Association for Support of Poor
Patients at the HCM City Eye Hospital .
Earlier, through the HCM City Fatherland Front, Dai-ichi Life built houses for
poor families and granted scholarships to poor students.
The company has also actively participated in social activities such as blood
donation and aid campaigns for natural calamity victims and handicapped
