CHINGGIS FESTIVAL-2018 ORGANIZED FOR THE SECOND YEAR

Khentii /MONTSAME/ On the occasion of 95th anniversary of the establishment of Khentii aimag, ‘Chinggis festival-2018’ an international folk art festival has been organized in Chinggis city on August 17-19. ‘Khan Khentii’ folk song and dance ensemble in collaboration with the Association of Mongolian Folk Art successfully organized the festival for the second year under the auspices of the Governor’s Office of Khentii aimag. Children from Mongolia, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China participated in the event, which aimed at promoting cultural heritages of the countries, enhancing their talents and abilities, strengthening friendly ties between the children and publicizing national culture and arts. The festival features various activities, such as joint concert of the children, mini-Naadam festival, unity parade, performance of the Khan Khentii ensemble, fire festival and evening art events. Apart from Gobisumber, Selenge and Dornogobi aimags, more than 100 children from Ulaanbaatar participated in the event and the best children’s dance troupe of Mongolia gave their performance. Among all types of art and cultural events conducted at the festival, ‘Janjin Choir’ band of Gobisumber aimag, ‘Narny zam’ band of Selenge aimag and Inner Mongolian band received the Grand Prix award.
