SEEDSTAR ULAANBAATAR-2018 SELECTS ITS WINNER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ With an aim to support startups from developing countries, Seedstars World Competition was successfully organized in Mongolia on August 16-18 for the second year. During the national competition 'Seedstars Ulaanbaatar-2018', the judging panel conducted intensive trainings for top nine startups for two days. On the third day of the competition, selected nine team delivered their presentations to audiences and judges. As a result, sales and marketing platform developer ‘Erxes Inc’ was selected as the winner, granting the opportunity to represent the country in Switzerland and compete for the investment of USD 1 million in April, 2019. Erxes Inc will participate in a week-long event ‘Seedstars Summit’ and network with the winners of 75 countries and investors. This year, freight and logistic platform ‘Onebelt Freezone’ was selected as the first runner-up while tourism and hotel reservation technology developer ‘iHotel’ team as the second runner-up. ‘Seedstars Ulaanbaatar -2018’ competition was sponsored by Unitel Group, the Mongolian first fintech Company ‘LendMN’, Itools, Startup Mongolia NGO, the Industry Development and Innovation Department of Ulaanbaatar, HUB Innovation Center, Unread.today and others. The judging panel comprised of Chairman of Board of Directors of Unitel Group R.Ganbold, Director in charge of operation of And Global V.Bayarsaikhan, CEO of ICT Group G.Lkhamsuren, CEO of Startup Marketing Space LLC J.Zolzaya and CEO of Montgomery Fitch and Associates A.Luis. This year, the following teams participated in Seedstars Ulaanbaatar 2018 such as Erxes Inc – sales and marketing message platform based on artificial intelligence, Gegege play – online purchase and payment platform, iHotel – technology solution for tourism and hotel reservation, Mixsor – equipment to measure air quality from cellphone, Nomadicsoft – smart package delivering system based on artificial intelligence, Ondoo – system to develop teamwork skills of individuals based on artificial intelligence, Pink Kiwi – live broadcasting app to benefit from online content such as donation, monthly payment and advertisement, and TODA –financial platform for foreign currency transaction and exchange of crypto currency at cheap price. ‘Seedstars World’ competition is organized in 75 countries around the world for a purpose to help start-up businessmen to network with investors, learn from best startup practices, have advices and receive financial support.
