FGCCC agreed Yemen joins GCC Chambers of Commerce

SANA'A, March 11 (Saba) - Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya
al-Mutawakel has welcomed the consent of The Federation of GCC
Chambers (FGCCC) in joining Yemen to GCC Chambers of Commerce.

The minister declared in a statement to Saba that this step is a
reflection of the advanced level of the relation between Yemen and
Gulf countries as well as the serious attempts to integrate Yemen
economy in the economies of GCC states.

Joining Yemen to GCC Champers of Commerce membership will contribute
to the promotion of private sector investment in Yemen by GCC states
and to enhance the partnership between businessmen on both sides as
well as facilitate trade exchange between Yemen and the Gulf states,
he affirmed.

He also pointed out to the significant role of Yemeni private sector
to adopt the mechanisms that allow it to communicate with its
counterparts in GCC states, highlighting that the role could be
played by the private sector in Yemen and the Gulf to advance the
Yemeni economic development.

It is worth to mention that the General Secretariat of FGCCC has
agreed on joining Yemen this week during its 24th joint meeting.
