Iraqi president arrives in Tehran for ECO summit
Tehran, March 10, IRNA -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani arrived in Tehran on Tuesday to attend the 10th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
The Iraqi president and his entourage were welcomed on their arrival at Mehrabad International Airport by First Vice President Parviz Davoudi and Minister of Energy Parviz Fattah.
The Iraqi president has been invited to the summit as an observer.
The 18th ECO foreign ministerial meeting began in Tehran on Monday morning to prepare for the ECO Summit.
Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are ECO member states./end
