Ahmad Jebril: Iran, most sincere friend, supporter of Palestinians

Tehran, March 10, IRNA – Secretary General of People’s Front for Liberation of Palestine Ahmad Jebril said here Monday Iran is the most sincere friend and supporters of the Palestinians.

According to IRNA, the Foreign Ministry Head Office for Information and Media Affairs, Jebril said so in a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Manouchehr Mottaki in a meeting on Monday evening.
The Palestinian party head added, “We fell ashamed about certain comments made by some Arab leaders, intellectuals, and media columnists against Iran on Palestine issue.”

He added, “We tell them that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been the true defender of the Palestinian ideals ever since its establishment in 1978.”

The Secretary General of the People’s Front for Liberation of Palestine evaluated the victory of Hamas in the 22 Day Gaza War as defending the Palestinian refugees’ right for return and defending the Arabic prestige that has always been at stake due to the incessant aggressions of the Zionists.

The Iranian foreign minister, too, during the meeting reiterated, “In the lists of the names of the countries and the nations, Palestine and the Palestinians, have been the most beautiful for both the Iranians and for the entire Islamic world nations, and furthermore, love for the Palestinian ideals has become so widespread around the globe today.”

Mottaki added, “Today, the word Palestine has become synonymous with life, livelihood, justice seeking, and resistance, and all these meanings have been born after the Palestinians’ victory in the 22 Day War./end
